Another shop hop has come and gone, but what fun we had at the 50’s Diner!!!!! Four days of singing and dancing, what could be more exciting?
Meet Brit's new love. Doesn't she look good in that poodle skirt!!!
By the end of Shop Hop, Britnie had learned the Twist, the mashed potato, the wahtusi, and she could limbo like no other. Thanks to all of the enthusiastic customer that taught Britnie her dance moves
Jan and Diane serving up some goodies
Diner Girls Rule!!. Check out those saddle oxfords!!
We all chose Diner Girl names like Rita, Betty, Rhoda, Dottie, Alice, Flo, Susie, and of course, Peggy Sue. She is on the left (Linda). Notice the shoes and the name tags.
I went to bakery to order cookies, (in my get-up of course, complete with name tag) and the girl at the bakery wrote the order under the name Rhoda. Ha Ha…. You know when you get those annoying calls and telemarketers ask for the person in charge of handling the phone service? We can now tell them that they need to talk to Dottie, and she unfortunately is out of the office today.
Christy & Glenda came out, took a sick day (dont tell the boss) Glenda was camera shy that day
- The Shop Hop Quilt
So here it is!! Our version of Around the Town. I don’t think I ever have to paper piece again! (did I say that out loud). The girls helped with the blocks, and I put it all together. Jan bound the quilt on Tuesday night, just in the nick of time. She’s a life saver!!!!!
See you next year, where we are really going to “Celebrate”. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did! If you didn’t, you can call and talk to Alice, she has just been promoted to the complaint department.
